Angioletta Sperti

Angioletta Sperti (Senior expert) is full professor of Comparative Public Law at the Department of Law of the University of Pisa since November 2023.

After winning a scholarship abroad funded by the University, she attended the Master of Laws (LL.M.) program at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), USA, in 1997-98, earning the corresponding diploma in May 1998. In the 1998-99 academic year, she won a scholarship offered by the University of Florence in collaboration with the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate of the Republic to attend the S. Tosi Parliamentary Studies and Research Seminar. In January 1999, she was admitted to the Postgraduate Program at the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies in Pisa, where she earned her Postgraduate Diploma with honors (a degree equivalent to a Doctorate) in 2003. In the same year, she obtained her license to practice law. Since 2002, she has taught at the Faculty of Law of the University of Pisa. From 2003 to 2015, she was a researcher in Institutions of Public Law (IUS/09) at the Department of Law of the University of Pisa.

At the Department of Law, she is the coordinator of the Jean Monnet Module, ProSTEUVa, Promoting and Strengthening EU Values .
