The Enlargement Rule of Law (EnRoL)
The chair concerns the enlargement of the EU and the challenges that this process entails for democracy and respect of the rule of law. The teaching staff of the Chair is composed of 8 persons and 2 associated members of teaching staff.
The Enlargement Rule of Law (EnRoL) project is based on the teaching of 2 modules on the EU enlargement in courses held by the Chair holder (courses European Union law and External relations of the European Union) and on a new course taught English of 21 hours The EU external action and the challenges of the EU enlargement, in 6 guest lectures that will be taught at the Political Science and the Law departments in the courses of the Chair holder and in two courses of the associated members of teching staff. The project includes the publication of a podcast series named ‘Open Talks on enlargement’ who will be based on interviews to senior and junior experts on the EU enlargement, of 1 scholarly article published by the Chair Holder in a renowned journal (open access), the organisation of a Conference for a non-specialised audience and of an academic workshop on the promotion of democracy and the rule of law in the enlargement of the Union.
